West Australian photographer, music historian and author, George Matzkov, has a rare and special insight into the history of the WA contemporary music scene. Following a decade long deep-dive into the archives, George compiled and published the seminal book ‘Way Out West: The West Australian Music Scene 1976 – 1989‘. George joined Em in the studio to chat about his inspiration, experiences collating and publishing the book, and the special place original, alternative music has in our history.
